The Biennial

The Chicago Architecture Biennial is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating an international forum on architecture and urbanism through the production of exhibitions and public programs. It serves as a platform for advancing architectural innovation and thinking by engaging practitioners, enthusiasts, and the public to re-imagine the built world both globally and locally.

The signature program of the Chicago Architecture Biennial stands as North America’s largest international survey of contemporary architecture and takes place every two years at the Chicago Cultural Center and sites across the city. During non-exhibition periods, the organization continues to support research and convene conversations around issues of key importance to the architecture field and beyond.
